Free Fun Things To Do This Summer
Tuesday, June 14, 2016
Summer is now in full swing! The sun is out, the pools are open, and everyone is working on their tans. But one problem I've noticed that I've hit this summer is finding fun things to do that are free. As a college student almost all the money I earn this summer will have to go to tuition, housing, books and more. After this realization I decided I needed to find some things to do this summer without burning a hole through my already holy jeans! I'm sure I'm not the only one in this predicament and decided to share my ideas with you!
My first idea originates from my love of photography and cool walls. Grab a friend and your phone or a camera and go find some cool colored walls around your town to take pictures with. My friend Ashley and I found at least 8 cool walls to take pictures with and had a blast shooting each other as we made these great discoveries.
One of my most favorite things in the world to do is go hiking. I love the smell of of the mountains and being surrounded by nature. Utah has some of the prettiest mountains ever and I feel so blessed to be so close to so many hiking trails. Hiking helps me clear my mind, leads me on fun adventures with friends and family, and shows me the beauty of this incredible world. So if you're bored and need to get out of the house this summer, put on some tennis shoes and start climbing!
Summer would never be complete without a fire pit and some s'mores! Camp fires are really easy and fun and always lead to good times. Grab your friends, some fire wood, and don't forget the brilliant instructions: "First, you take the mallow"....
One thing I love to do when I'm bored is try new recipes. Pinterest is full of fun and delicious ideas of cool summer treats you can make with friends and family...or even by yourself! And lets be honest, we all love good food!
During the summer there are a ton of concerts going on. But what some people don't know is that there are a lot of FREE concerts going on. Sure, they aren't the concerts of famous artists and they probably aren't singing the songs you hear on the radio...but they are really fun! If you look up your city you can usually find them at parks in your area. I go all the time with my family. We take blankets and a picnic and always have a grand old time!
What are some things you like to do in the summer?

Motivational Running Playlist
Friday, March 25, 2016
Running is one of my favorite ways to exercise, but I find it hard to stay motivated without the right music. I constantly find myself running to the beat of whatever song I'm listening to and if it isn't upbeat, fun, and motivating it can be hard to keep going. So here are some of my favorite songs to run to that help keep me going. And now that the weather is getting warm again I can run outside!!
Hope these songs help keep you motivated on your runs as well!
What songs do you like to listen to on a run?

Bath & Body Spring Line
Friday, March 4, 2016
One of my favorite parts of Spring is when Bath & Body comes out with their annual Spring line. They always have such amazing scents and the packaging is super cute! And what better time to buy than when they are having their buy 3 get 3 and 2 candles for $24 sales!
The thing I love about Bath & Body products is that they really aren't that expensive and the scents are soooo good. Their candles burn evenly and last a super long time too. But my favorite products are always the body sprays and body creams. They make my skin super soft and hydrated and it stays that way all day long. Plus, the scent stays on your hands and you can smell them when you get bored in class or at work!
My favorite scents from this line are Hibiscus Guava Fresca and Seaside Pink Jasmine. I'm not a huge fan of super flowery or super fruity scents and I think these two scents really hit the middle ground to create a perfect blend of the two. I can't stop smelling them!
Here's to the coming of Spring...FINALLY!
What are your favorite scents and products at Bath & Body?

Viva Las Vegas
Tuesday, February 23, 2016
This weekend my sister Mikall and I decided to hit up Vegas for some sisterly bonding, good food, and most importantly...THE TENORS!
My sister has loved this group for years and has passed the love onto me. So when they decided to come to Vegas we knew we would have to make the trip down just to see them in concert. And it was totally worth it. They are so amazing live and they are really easy on the eyes ;) haha! The concert was definitely the highlight of the trip. Check out their website here.
I loved the fact that the hotel we stayed in did not have a casino and did not allow smoking. We stayed at the Trump International Hotel and it was gorgeous. We had a great view and it was nice to be a bit further away from the drinking, smoking and gambling.
We also had time to hit up Guy Fieri's restaurant "Go Big Or Go Home" and the food was to die for! We got the BBQ chicken wings and a burger. They were the best wings and burgers I have ever had. If you go to Vegas I would highly suggest you take the time to eat there.
I had such a blast with my sister and I really miss the sun. All in all it was a great weekend!

Presidents' Weekend
Friday, February 19, 2016
St. George is one of my favorite places in the world. There is beautiful hiking, clean air, delicious cupcakes, and many memories to be made. With the long weekend due to Presidents' Day me and some friends decided to hit the road and have a fun relaxing vacation of hiking and doing yoga poses!
If you ever go to St. George and you like eating cupcakes then you definitely need to check out Twenty-Five Main. It is located on 25 Main St. and their cupcakes are my favorite! They also have really good lunch food as well. Talk about instagramable ;) !
I had a great weekend! I hope you did too!

My New Year Resolution
Friday, January 8, 2016
I can hardly believe that 2016 has finally come around. It is crazy how fast each year can go by and how much can happen in that small amount of time. 2015 was a year full of change, heart ache, adventure, and way too much fun! But with every new year there are always things that we hope to be better at or change. Sure, we all make the goals to be healthier, do better at work, save money, etc. But have you ever stopped and thought about a single goal that you really just want to focus on?
This past year I really began to notice that I have a horrible habit of comparing myself to literally everyone around me. Whether it was a sister, friend, blogger, or even the girl that sat in front of me in a class; I was constantly comparing their qualities with mine. I found myself changing in subtle ways to try and become just like them. I was having a hard time being myself and I started to realize how unhappy it made me. So I decided that this year is going to be different.
This year my goal is to simply be myself! No more comparing myself and trying to be like them. Oscar Wilde put it perfectly when he said "...everyone else is taken". We are all unique and perfectly imperfect in our own ways. It took me a long time to remember that and I am making a resolution to not forget it again.
With the pressures of the world and the media to be skinny, beautiful, perfect, and make life look effortless it is super easy to forget that we are children of a Heavenly Father who loves us. He made us the way we are and doesn't want us to try to be something we aren't. Being a beautiful child of God is a great gift that we have all been given and He loves us for being ourselves. Don't change to try and fit the standards of the world, let your light shine and show the world that you can be happy by simply being you!
I know it has been said a lot, but I feel like it is a topic that will never truly go away. My advice for the new year would be to just be yourself! I have already been so much happier and I can't wait to see where this new year will take me!
Happy New Year!
And don't forget to be-YOU-tiful!
